Lincoln Builders earns safety award

Lincoln Builders, Inc. of Ruston was recently presented with the Raffles Insurance John A. Arnold Award of Honor for outstanding safety and loss control.

The company’s control efforts were successful in achieving the highest point score of the Raffles membership. Lincoln was also recognized for driving between 200,000 and 1 million miles with zero fleet accidents and was presented a Fleet Safety Award plaque.

Lincoln Builders’ Safety and Loss Prevention Program is administered by safety director Johnny Gibson with support in claim management and reporting by insurance administrator Debbie Heard.

Cross Keys gets 5-star rating from firm

Cross Keys Bank, which is headquartered in St. Joseph, has earned a five-star superior rating from BauerFinancial, a bank rating and research firm.

The bank has earned the top rating for 79 consecutive quarters.

Cross Keys has offices in Ouachita, Richland, Madison and Tensas parishes. Michael Vizard is the bank’s president.

Oak Ridge rated superior by firm

Bank of Oak Ridge has earned a five-star superior ranting from BauerFinancial, a bank rating and research firm.

The bank has earned the top rating for 93 consecutive quarters. E.H. Allen is the bank’s chief executive.

2012 Scott Award nominations accepted

Nominations are being accepted for the 2012 Thomas H. Scott Awards of Excellence presented by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, The News-Star and the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Business.

The program recognizes business investment and growth. Awards will be presented in the small business category (one to 10 employees), the medium business category (11 to 50 employees), the large business category (51-100 employees) and the corporate category (more than 100 employees).

All winners and nominees will be recognized during an awards reception at the ULM Library Conference Center on May 31.

Alexander speech set for April 12

U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander will be the featured speaker during a Monroe Chamber of Commerce Congressional Update Luncheon at noon April 12 at he Monroe Civic Center Conference Hall.
